WATCH: Marcus Smart gets standing ovation in return to the court

Marcus Smart had missed the Boston Celtics' first seven playoff games after suffering a torn oblique late in the season against the Orlando Magic. Smart, who was expected to be out 4-to-6 weeks with the injury, returned on the early end of the projected timeline to play in the Celtics' critical Game 4 against the Milwaukee Bucks.

Upon his return to the court, Smart was given a standing ovation by the crowd at the TD Garden.

Smart would later get rousing applause after drilling a 3-pointer to extend the Celtics' early lead in the first quarter to 25-17.

Last season, Smart returned to the Celtics' lineup midway through their first-round series against the Bucks. At that time, he provided the team with a spark and ultimately helped them to close out the series in seven games. He will be hoping to bring that same energy this year and help the Celtics draw even with Milwaukee.
