Wild Heat-Bucks ending eerily similar to this '74 Celtics finish

The fiasco that was Game 2 between the Milwaukee Bucks and Miami Heat had fans from both teams up in arms.

But somewhere, the late JoJo White is looking down and smiling knowingly.

The Heat defeated the Bucks 116-114 on Wednesday after Jimmy Butler was literally fouled at the buzzer and sank two free throws with no time on the clock.

A team winning a game on a "walk-off" free throw is extremely rare, especially in the postseason.

A club clinching a series on a walk-off free throw? That's even more rare -- and it happened to the 1974 Boston Celtics.

The Celtics were tied with the Buffalo Braves in Game 6 of their second-round playoff series when Braves star Bob McAdoo fouled White in the act of shooting just before the buzzer sounded.

Braves head coach Jack Ramsay protested the call, but the officials held firm and awarded White two free throws with the lane cleared and the game on the line, just like Butler on Wednesday night.

Here's play-by-play man Johnny Most on the call. (You can also watch in the video player above.)

The future Hall of Famer calmly sunk both shots in front of the raucous Buffalo crowd, clinching a 106-104 win for Boston that punched its ticket to the Eastern Conference Finals.

The rest is history: The Celtics toppled the New York Knicks in the next round and dispatched the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Finals to win the 1974 championship under head coach Tommy Heinsohn.

The Heat would face the winner of the Celtics and Toronto Raptors if they get past the Bucks, so C's fans will be hoping Miami doesn't follow in the 1974 squad's footsteps.
