Watch Harvard player get TD called back after flipping off Yale defender

Even college football's best and brightest can make bone-headed decisions between the lines.

Harvard clashed with Yale on Saturday in a special edition of "The Game" at Fenway Park. The Crimson took the lead in the fourth quarter and appeared to seal the deal when running back Devin Darrington broke off a long touchdown run.

One problem: The touchdown was called back due to an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Darrington.

What did the freshman running back do to deserve that call, you ask? Well...

Darrington appeared to give the middle finger to a Yale defender as he approached the end zone. This being a civilized contest between two Ivy League blue-bloods, the referee quickly threw his flag and took six points off the board for Harvard.

Don't feel too bad for Darrington, though. He scored a few plays later, as the Crimson rolled to a 45-27 win in the highest-scoring matchup in the 135th installment of this historic rivalry.
