All Patriots, including new DB Rowe, present for Wednesday practice

FOXBORO -- The Patriots had a couple of new faces at Wednesday's practice.

Newly-acquired defensive back Eric Rowe was on the field for his first full day of work with the Patriots, as was practice-squad linebacker Quentin Gause. A Rutgers product who played with corner Logan Ryan and safety Duron Harmon in college, Gause has taken the place of defensive end Rufus Johnson on the 10-man practice squad.

For what it's worth, Rowe was taking reps with the cornerbacks following the warm-up portion of the session. There was some question as to whether or not Rowe may be considered a safety given he played both safety and corner while at the University of Utah. He played as a corner during his rookie season with the Eagles, and Patriots coach Bill Belichick told WEEI on Tuesday that Rowe could be a matchup-type coverage player who could potentially play either corner or safety in New England.

Otherwise, the Patriots had perfect attendance at the practice, which was their second consecutive day with all 53 active players on the field.
