Curran: Sanu a ‘missed opportunity' for Patriots

Former Cincinnati Bengals wideout Mohamed Sanu has agreed to a deal with the Atlanta Falcons instead of joining the New England Patriots.

Tom E. Curran sees it as a "missed opportunity" for New England.

“It think Mohamed Sanu was a perfect fit for the Patriots because he has that versatility, he does not drop the football. His numbers were down because there were a lot of other options in that Cincinnati offense,” Curran explained on SportsNet Central. “I look at Sanu as a player who in 2012 lasted until the third round, the Patriots had a need at that position in 2012. In the second round they took Tavon Wilson who, of course, wasn’t that relevant and he moves on. I think it was a missed opportunity with him.”
