During Sunday’s game against the New York Giants, Malcolm Butler found himself locked in a battle with wideout Odell Beckham Jr.

The second-year corner was able to slow down the star wide receiver, with the exception of one big play.

On the first Giants touchdown, Beckham Jr. was able to get the inside step on Butler to make the catch and then raced past safety Devin McCourty for an 87-yard touchdown.

On Quick Slants, the Patriots safety took the blame for the score.

“The touchdown wasn’t really even on Malcolm (Butler), that was all me,” said McCourty. “I just chalk it up to very bad safety play. If I was a corner I’d be pretty upset if I had a safety make a play like that.”
