The reactions to Tom Brady's latest ad ran the gamut inside the Patriots locker room. Rob Ninkovich was impressed. Julian Edelman reacted as if he's seen better.
"Needs a little more Pacino . . . He's pretty artistic when it comes to that type of stuff," Edelman said, "so maybe he was method acting. I don't know."
Brady was asked about the Deflategate-themed Footlocker commercial during a conference call with 49ers media on Wednesday. He made it seem as though he approached the free time he received during his four-game suspension with an attitude of, "Why not?"
"I don’t know exactly what was going through my mind when I made the decision," Brady told reporters.
He added: "I’ve had a lot of different opportunities over the years and some I’ve chosen to do, and some I haven’t. I’ve been in a very fortunate position to be able to choose the things that I do. I had a lot of free time on my hands at the beginning of the year, so I had to find ways to fill it."
