The New England Revolution registered the best regular season in MLS history in 2021, and three key young players played a huge role in their success.
Below, you'll find the three candidates for the Revs, and the form to vote in this year's "20 Under 25".
LAST YEAR: 16 | RATING: 74.8
The Revs attacker took a massive leap in his third professional season as he finished the 2021 MLS regular-season with career highs in games played (27), starts (19), goals (8), and assists (5). Named the best young player at this summer's Gold Cup, the 22-year-old has become Canada's fastest rising star as the National Team is in great position to qualify for the country's second-ever World Cup and second in nearly 40 years.
LAST YEAR: 25 | RATING: 70.4
The 24-year-old has developed into one of the most well-rounded left-backs in MLS and has a strong case for the most-improved Revs player in 2021.
Among MLS defenders, he finished tied for third with 7 combined goals and assists and ranked eighth in key passes. Jones also led the team in tackles and wasn't far off the team lead in interceptions. As one of the fastest players in the entire league, he's become a big asset in the attack and on the backline.
LAST YEAR: 15 | RATING: 74.8
The center back was one of the most reliable players on a roster that set a new MLS record for points (73) and wins (22) in a season. As a steady presence on the backline, the 23-year-old helped the team win a league-record 18 games by one goal and have the best goal differential in 2021. He also gets bonus points for one of the most underrated moments this season.
