Matt Turner has been recognized for his stellar play during the New England Revolution's 2020 season.
In addition to being an MLS Goalkeeper of the Year finalist, Turner was named the Revs' Team MVP by fans and Players' Player of the Year by his teammates.
Turner expressed his gratitude for the honors during his press conference on Thursday.

No fans at Gillette through rest of 2020 season
“It means so much to me. It really does," Turner said. "I’ve had quite the journey through MLS and even before MLS. I’ve gone through some stuff so it’s really, really nice to be given these awards. To be chosen by the fans and to be chosen by my teammates, it all means so much to me. That’s just something that I’ll cherish for the rest of my life, to be honest.
"It’s hard for me to even put into words now. They showed me a video yesterday and I was getting emotional. It’s just sort of things coming full circle for me. I’m super proud to be a part of this organization and to be a player for the New England Revolution. So I’m just really grateful and I’ll never take it for granted.”
Turner is the first goalkeeper to earn the Revs' MVP award since Matt Reis in 2011. In 22 matches this season, the 26-year-old had a career-high six shutouts and ranked among the top-10 MLS goalkeepers in saves percentage (75.6 percent), goals against average (1.09), and saves (68).
Also earning team awards for the Revs were midfielder Teal Bunbury (Humanitarian of the Year, Golden Boot) and Henry Kessler (Defender of the Year).
After finishing the regular season 8-7-8 with an eighth-place spot in the Eastern Conference, New England will host the Montreal Impact in the Audi 2020 MLS Cup Playoff Play-In Round. The match is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 20 at 6:30 p.m. ET.
