Lee Nguyen is back with the New England Revolution.
The Revolution acquired him in a trade with Inter Miami CF on Tuesday in exchange for New England's fourth-round pick in the 2021 MLS SuperDraft and "up to $50,000 in General Allocation Money if the player meets certain performance-based metrics with the club."
Nguyen spent six seasons (2012-2017) with the Revs before he was traded to LAFC in 2018. Inter Miami selected him in the 2019 MLS Expansion Draft last November.
The 34-year-old midfielder was a finalist for league MVP in 2014 -- the same season New England lost in the MLS Cup -- after scoring 18 goals with five assists.
The addition of Nguyen adds some much-needed playmaking and scoring to the Revolution attack. He ranks third on the Revs' all-time goals scored leaderboard with 51.
