The New England Revolution's seven-game regular season unbeaten streak is over after New York City FC earned a 2-0 win at Gillette Stadium on Wednesday night.

NYCFC opened the scoring in the second half on an own-goal by Revs defender Michael Mancienne in the 60th minute. The visitors doubled their advantage in the 72nd minute when Heber Araujo dos Santos scored his first goal of the season on a corner kick.

The loss is the Revolution's first in the regular season since the 2020 opener versus the Montreal Impact back in February. The Revs' only other loss came against the Philadelphia Union in the Round of 16 of the MLS Is Back Tournament in July.

The Revolution currently sit in eighth place in the Eastern Conference standings with a 2-2-5 record.
