Adam Butler gives Tom Brady thanks in emotional Instagram message

Adam Butler's career, like many New England Patriots players over the last 20 years, has been impacted quite a bit by quarterback Tom Brady.

The 41-year-old quarterback has been described as the "ultimate teammate," and he's helped many players earn Super Bowl rings with clutch postseason performances.

Butler's case, however, is a little bit different. He explained in an Instagram post Tuesday with a caption that read, "Dear Tom, you’ve changed my life forever and i can’t thank you enough! When I was a kid, I was oh so close to giving up football! Thank goodness I didn’t, because I probably never would have met the king( 12) himself! Thanks for changing my life yet again.Sincerely! Adam Butler."

Here's the first of two photos Butler posted.

Butler, Brady and the Patriots will play the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta, where the second-year defensive tackle is hoping to earn his first Super Bowl ring.
