Alabama product and former Bengals quarterback AJ McCarron is signing with the Buffalo Bills on a two-year deal.
The 27-year-old is coming off his fourth season with the Bengals after being drafted in the fifth round of the 2014 draft. He was nearly traded to the Browns at the trade deadline last season for draft picks in the second and third rounds, but the deal was not sent into the league in time.
Kirk Minihane of WEEI reported earlier in the day that the Patriots extended a contract offer to McCarron.
