The Patriots made their most notable move in recent memory when they signed superstar wide receiver Antonio Brown on Saturday to a one-year, $15 million deal with an option for 2020.

As shocking as it was, this was far from the first time the Pats have stunned the NFL world with a blockbuster free-agent addition. From Brown to Darrelle Revis, New England has had a way of attracting the NFL's biggest talents.

Along with Brown, who's expected to make his Patriots debut this weekend in Miami, here are some of the biggest signings in franchise history since Bill Belichick took over in 2000.

Harrison joined the Patriots at age 31 after spending nine seasons in San Diego. The hard-hitting safety immediately became a leader on Bill Belichick's defense and played an integral role in New England's 2003 and 2004 Super Bowl titles.

One of the best linebackers in the game with Baltimore before coming to the Pats in '07, Thomas' issues with the coaching staff derailed what began as a promising tenure with New England. He'll be most remembered for his comments after being tardy to practice due to a snowstorm.

"It's not the Jetsons, I can't jump up and just fly. What the heck am I supposed to do?"

The Patriots needed a slot receiver to replace Wes Welker in 2013, and they lured Amendola with a five-year, $28.5 million contract that included $10 million guaranteed. Amendola racked up 230 catches, 2,383 yards and 12 touchdowns over five seasons in New England and came up clutch in the postseason to help the Patriots win two Super Bowl titles.

Revis came to the Patriots on a two-year, $32 million deal after being released by the Buccaneers during the 2014 offseason. The lockdown cornerback only wore a Pats uniform for one season, but it was enough to help bring another Super Bowl title to New England.
