Bart Scott shares story of when Bill Belichick big-timed him on AFC Championship day

It's safe to say Bart Scott isn't a huge fan of Bill Belichick or the New England Patriots.

The former NFL linebacker, who played against the Patriots many times over his 11-year career with the Baltimore Ravens and New York Jets, recently joined Bleacher Report's "The Lefkoe Show" and discussed many different football-related topics, including a story of when the Patriots head coach big-timed him during the day of an AFC Championship Game. Scott was working for CBS at the time.

"We're on the sidelines. It's the AFC Championship," Scott said. "Me, (Bill) Cowher and Tony (Gonzalez) are sitting there chopping it up because this is me and Tony's first AFC championship -- we're not in the studio, we're on the set and it's cool, it's loud. It's the AFC Championship. (Belichick) walks up, shakes Tony's hand, speaks to Tony. Speaks to Bill (Cowher). I'm literally standing, we're almost shoulder-to-shoulder. He says absolutely nothing to me. He doesn't even look at me. And at that point I'm like look, 'Bro, now you being an a--hole. It's fine you being an a--hole over there, but you came over to us.'"

The most memorable moment from Scott's career against the Patriots came when the Jets upset New England in the 2010 AFC Divisional Round at Gillette Stadium. Scott, speaking to ESPN after the game, voiced his famous "can't wait" quote that has become a popular meme.

Scott didn't shy away from criticizing Belichick and the Patriots in his role for CBS. He left CBS in March of 2017.
