Bill Belichick's dog Nike takes seat at table in hilarious Draft Day photo

Bill Belichick and Nick Caserio are the brain trust behind the New England Patriots' draft process.

At least that's what we thought before the 2020 NFL Draft. But now, new photo evidence suggests that somebody else is in charge has taken over for Belichick and is wreaking havoc in the draft room.

When ESPN's coverage of the 2020 NFL Draft showed a split-screen image of both Belichick and Caserio's draft war rooms, there was a rather unexpected visitor that had taken Belichick's spot at the table. You can see for yourself via Bryan Fischer.

And here's another close-up of the picture, via the Sunday Night Football Twitter account.

That's hilarious, and this will certainly make for some great memes in the near future, and we've already seen reactions coming in fast and furious.

It's nice that Belichick is letting Nike at least feel involved with the draft even if Belichick is the one making the picks.

We'll have to see if we can get Nike's thoughts on the Patriots' first draft pick, Lenoir-Rhyne safety Kyle Dugger, before the end of the night. But we'd wager that Nike would be a fan of Dugger, the self-described underdog.

"I kind of like the underdog role," Dugger said in an interview with SB Nation's Christian D'Andrea. "It’s something that’s going to continue to drive me ... I know I’m not the only talented player at that level, and my school, I thank them for giving me the opportunity to continue to play football, something I love."
