Bills fans troll Pats with huge billboard near Gillette Stadium

Buffalo Bills fans are taking their victory lap.

The Bills clinched their first AFC East title since 1995 on Saturday, a day before the New England Patriots officially were eliminated from playoff contention.

The team's fans apparently scored another win Monday by emerging from FOX Sports' "Ultimate Fan" bracket as the best fans in football. And they celebrated at the Patriots' expense.

Yes, that's a giant Bills billboard on Route 1 in Foxboro, Mass., which Patriots players driving into Gillette Stadium from the south will have no choice but to look at on their way to work.

A host of expat Bills fans already have stopped to take photos in front of the billboard, which obviously is a sore sight for Patriots fans amid a trying season in New England.

This is but a short-term victory for Buffalo, though, as the Patriots still have won 35 of the teams' 41 meetings since 2000 and six Super Bowl titles in that span. And you can bank on Pats fans handing it right back to their Bills rivals should they falter in the postseason.

As for the contents of the billboard? It's hard to argue against Bills fans as the best in football after they showed out to greet the AFC East champs at 1:30 in the morning last weekend.
