The La Verne Police Department announced on Tuesday that former Patriots cornerback Brandon Browner is facing four charges, including attempted murder, after his July 8 arrest.

Browner allegedly broke into the home of an ex-girlfriend that had a restraining order on him, prevented her from fleeing, and stole a Rolex watch from her.

Along with the attempted murder charge, which carries a maximum sentence of life in prison in California, Browner also faces felony charges of robbery, burglary, and false imprisonment.

Browner is scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday.
