Cam Newton releases awesome hype video for Patriots-49ers showdown

Cam Newton and the New England Patriots have plenty of motivation entering a pivotal Week 7 game against the San Francisco 49ers at Gillette Stadium.

The veteran quarterback struggled in his team's loss to the Denver Broncos last week. Newton threw for 157 yards with zero touchdowns and two interceptions. He was more effective on the ground with 76 rushing yards and one rushing touchdown, but overall, it was a lackluster performance from the former league MVP.

Newton admitted after the Week 6 defeat that he has to play better, and he's confident he will play better going forward.

This was the message at the beginning of his Week 7 gameday hype video. Check it out in the post below:

The Patriots will need an improvement from Newton on Sunday against a 49ers team that's had one of the best pass defenses in football since the start of last season.

Newton is 3-0 against the 49ers in his career. Another victory against San Francisco in Week 7 would prevent the Patriots from losing three consecutive games for the first time since 2002 and give New England some much-needed momentum entering a difficult stretch in the team's schedule.
