Danny Amendola's still got it, folks.

The former New England Patriots wide receiver signed with his hometown Houston Texans less than a week ago, joining his seventh NFL team in his 14th NFL season.

And in his first game with his new club, Amendola found paydirt, snagging an eight-yard touchdown pass from Texans quarterback Tyrod Taylor just before halftime.

Amendola's TD grab -- the 22nd regular-season score of his career -- caught the eye of ex-Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman, who showed his former teammate love on social media.

Edelman and Amendola were joined at the hip during their five seasons together in New England, so it's no surprise that Edelman is fired up for his good friend.

Amendola has managed to outlast Edelman, who joined the Patriots in 2009 as a seventh-round draft pick and carved out an 11-year NFL career in New England before retiring in 2020.

Edelman weighs in on Patriots choosing Mac Jones over Newton

Amendola hasn't exactly matched Edelman's success -- he caught 46 passes for 602 yards and no touchdowns for the Detroit Lions last season -- but he clearly has Edelman's respect as he looks to make an impact in Houston.

As for Edelman? You could see him tweeting a lot more this season as an analyst for Showtime's "Inside The NFL."
