Dolphins pull off miracle finish in 34-33 win over Patriots

(Updates in BOLD)

The Patriots clinched the AFC East title with a positively bananas win over the Dolphins. There wasn't much this game didn't have. There were a bazillion lead changes. Multiple blocked punts. Another James Develin touchdown. Thing was outrageous. WAIT HOLY SMOKES NO THEY JUST LOST.

How it wouldn't have been so close if the Pats managed the clock better in the first half.

After the Patriots' second blocked punt of the game set them up at the Miami 15 with 30 seconds remaining and and a timeout, they failed to get any points. Though they got the ball to the 2, Brady took a sack on third down, ending the half. It was a scenario in which they essentially flushed points down the toilet. Speaking of which . . .

THEN THIS INSANE BAND-ON-THE-FIELD PLAY HAPPENED AND THE PATRIOTS LOST.

On the season, Gostkowski is 24 of 29 on field goals.

Rob Gronkowski perhaps being back! Who saw that coming?

In easily his best game since the season-opener, Gronkowski had eight catches on eight targets for 107 yards and a touchdown. This was just his second 100-yard game this season; he's also up to three touchdowns.

WAIT NO HE DIDN'T CATCH DRAKE AND THE DOLPHINS SCORED AND WON.

Another touchdown, babayyyyyyy. He took a holding penalty to negate a huge fourth-quarter from Sony Michel that might have stolen some of his statistical shine.

Develin's season stats: six rushes, eight yards, four touchdowns. GOAT.

They lost.
