Dolphins will wear these sweet throwback jerseys vs. Patriots in Week 2

The Miami Dolphins are expected to be trounced by the New England Patriots when these AFC East rivals play Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium, but at least the home team will look good regardless of the outcome.

The Dolphins announced Wednesday they will wear throwback jerseys in the Week 2 matchup. Check out the design in the video below:

The Dolphins choosing to wear white at home means the Patriots will wear their normal home blue jerseys in Miami for the first time since the 2014 season opener.

The Patriots have lost five of their last six games in Miami, with their only win during that span coming in the 2016 campaign.

No one is expecting the Dolphins to emerge victorious Sunday, however. Oddsmakers have the Patriots as 18.5-point favorites -- one of the largest spreads of the decade. The Dolphins also are coming off 59-10 loss at home to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1.

Phillip Dorsett exits Patriots-Eagles with head injury

Phillip Dorsett was on the receiving end of Julian Edelman's go-ahead touchdown pass in the third quarter of Sunday's Patriots-Eagles matchup, but he paid a hefty price.

Dorsett was hit hard on the play and went into the medical tent before heading into the locker room. The Patriots ruled him out for the rest of the game with a head injury.

New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman showed off his old quarterback skills to score a much-needed touchdown early in the third quarter of Sunday's Week 11 game versus the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Patriots opened the second half with the ball and moved down the field with ease against the Eagles defense. New England entered the red zone for the fourth time in the game and scored their first TD thanks to an Edelman pass to fellow wide receiver Phillip Dorsett.

Brady took the snap on 3rd-and-11, threw to Edelman, who found a wide open Dorsett for a 15-yard score. The veteran wideout took a huge hit in the end zone but held onto the ball.

Take a look at the trick play in the video below:

It was Edelman's first touchdown pass since the 2014 AFC Divisional Round win over the Baltimore Ravens. Edelman, as you might already know, was a quarterback in college at Kent State. His NFL passing stats, as ESPN's Mike Reiss pointed out, are pretty good.
