Some old habits die hard for Tom Brady.

The former New England Patriots quarterback has been all-in with the Buccaneers since signing with Tampa Bay in March, bonding with his new teammates and bringing intensity and enthusiasm to practices.

But during a Q&A session Friday on his Instagram story, Brady reverted to Patriots mode to take a shot at a longtime New England rival in the New York Jets.

The fan's snarky "retirement" answer was in response to Brady's question about where he should open his next TB12 retail store.

That's when Brady, who played the Jets 37 times over 20 seasons in New England, couldn't help but associate the fan with his former AFC East rival.

Flying high?

Tom Brady's career record vs. Jets

The Bucs don't play the Jets in 2020, so in theory, it's more likely a Saints, Panthers or Falcons fan would want the 43-year-old to hang them up rather than attempt to lead Tampa Bay to the playoffs.

Then again, Jets fans probably have plenty of animosity for Brady even after he bolted for the NFC -- and it appears the feeling is mutual.
