Stephon Gilmore and Jalen Ramsey are on opposite ends of the trash talk spectrum.

Fortunately, the soft-spoken Gilmore has plenty of supporters to boast on his behalf.

During a predictably entertaining Jacksonville Jaguars press conference Tuesday, Ramsey was asked if he thought he was the best cornerback in the league and replied, "Ain't no argument."

The Jaguars Pro Bowler obviously was referring to himself. But many New England Patriots fans and media members who have watched Gilmore erase opposing pass-catchers put a different spin on Ramsey's comments.

And when we say "many," we mean pretty much everyone.

You get the idea.

You can chalk this up to homerism, but there's compelling evidence to suggest Gilmore is, in fact, the best cornerback in the NFL.

For example, Pro Football Focus ranked Gilmore No. 1 on its list of best cornerbacks in the league entering the 2019 season. (Ramsey was second.) And guess who made PFF's team of the week in Week 2? (Hint: his last name ends in -ilmore.)

Add in a Hall of Famer's endorsement of Gilmore as the NFL's current cornerback standard-bearer, and it sounds like Patriots fans are right to assume Ramsey was talking about Gilmore.

Not that Gilmore would make the same admission.
