Ex-Patriots WR Dontrelle Inman signs with Chargers

Dontrelle Inman has found a new home in free agency. Well, not exactly "new," but you get the point. . .

Two days after requesting his release from the New England Patriots, the wide receiver signed with the Los Angeles Chargers according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Inman spent the first three seasons of his career with the Chargers before being traded to the Chicago Bears during the 2017 campaign. The 30-year-old enjoyed the most productive year of his career with Philip Rivers throwing him the ball in 2016, racking up 58 receptions for 810 yards and four touchdowns that season.

Before inking a new deal with L.A., Inman had free-agent visits with both the Lions and Jets. He'll now join Keenan Allen, Mike Williams, and Travis Benjamin as the notables on the Chargers' WR depth chart.

Inman posted 28 receptions for 304 yards and three touchdowns in nine games with the Indianapolis Colts last year.
