Five players you'll be talking about after Patriots-Giants preseason game

After a month-plus of training camp, joint practices, and three preseason games, Thursday's preseason finale against the Giants is the final chance for Patriots players to make an impression.

Some are locks for the 53-man roster. Some will end up on New England's practice squad. And some are just hoping an audition will be enough for them to latch on somewhere else.

Rookie Jarrett Stidham has already done enough to guarantee on a spot on the Patriots this season, but how much — if at all — will he play Thursday night? And in the wake of injuries and other cuts over the past week, can any players make a final push for a job?

Even though the final result of the game is meaningless, what we witness at Gillette Stadium can still have an impact on how Bill Belichick constructs his 53-man roster.
