Has Newton made the Pats likable outside New England?

Patriots

New England Patriots fans appear to be enjoying the Cam Newton experience through three weeks, and it isn't difficult to see why.

Even though he wasn't quite as crisp in the Week 3 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, Newton has been everything the Patriots hoped he'd be both on and off the field. The 31-year-old has been lauded by his teammates for his leadership, and he's said all the right things in his press conferences.

The switch at quarterback from Tom Brady to Newton has been a smooth one so far despite the two completely different playing styles. The ex-Carolina Panthers QB finds other ways to entertain as well, such as his hilarious sideline moment with N'Keal Harry on Sunday.

Curran: Here's my Newton mea culpa

All of that said, has Newton suddenly made it "cool" for NFL fans outside of New England to like the Patriots? Nora Princiotti of The Ringer joined Michael Smith and Michael Holley on Peacock's Brother From Another to discuss.

"He's made them likable. I think there's a lot of people who don't want to admit that they like the Patriots," Princiotti said. "He's got a thousand-watt smile, he's nicknaming everybody ... They're so fun. ...

"I think they're right on that precipice where there's a lot of people who are saying to themselves, 'I've got to look in the mirror and decide if I'm willing to say out loud that I kind of enjoy watching the Patriots.' Also, the style of football they're playing where they can win all these different ways ... You kind of never know what you're going to get. You get the sense Bill Belichick is having a great time. I think they're a blast."

Watch:

"Fun" typically isn't a word associated with the Patriots, but Newton certainly has been changing that reputation so far. He'll look to help New England improve to a 3-1 record next Sunday with a tough matchup vs. the Kansas City Chiefs.
