Rob Gronkowski has flirted with walking away from the Patriots to join the WWE or become an action movie star. He's taken another step toward Hollywood by being cast in the movie "Boss Level", according to TrackingBoard.com
The movie stars Mel Gibson and Naomi Watts, along with Frank Grillo, who plays a retired special forces officer trapped in a time loop. At the moment Gronk's role is unknown.
The Patriots tight end has played himself in the Entourage movie and The Clapper, along with his not-so-Oscar-worthy roles as "Party Guy Jake" in Deported and "Officer Weadon" in You Can't Have It and "Brad" in American Violence. He managed to handle those and still play football, so it's likely his latest turn in Boss Level doesn't mark an end to his playing days.
