Here's why Lamar Jackson might have trouble passing vs. Patriots defense

So far this season, the Patriots defense has feasted upon the likes of Sam Darnold, Colt McCoy, Josh Rosen, Luke Falk, and Daniel Jones.

But they should face a tougher test Sunday night when they travel to Baltimore to face Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. When discussing Jackson at his Wednesday morning press conference, Bill Belichick was extremely complimentary of the second-year quarterback.

"He's very fast. He's had great production. ... He's a major problem and everybody's had trouble with him. It'll be a big challenge for us. He can do it all. He can run, he can throw, he can throw on the run, he can extend plays. He's tough."

However, Jackson has only faced one top-10 passing defense so far this season, and on Sunday night, he'll face New England, which owns the second-ranked pass defense (with an NFL-high 19 interceptions) and the top-ranked scoring defense in the league.

Everywhere Jackson looks, he'll see dangerous defenders. According to Pro Football Focus, three of the top eight defensive players in coverage this season play for the 'Boogeymen.'

Devin McCourty is the third-highest graded defender in coverage at 89.7, while Jamie Collins (87.7) and Jonathan Jones (87.4) also rank in the Top 10.

Can the Patriots continue their unprecedented success against a better quarterback? We'll find out Sunday night.
