Here's why NFL Twitter laughed at Andy Dalton after Stephon Gilmore's pick-6

It's been a brutal season of NFL football for the Cincinnati Bengals, and that continued Sunday.

Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton recently got his starting job back after being benched earlier in the season, and he's having a brutal game versus the New England Patriots in Week 15. The veteran quarterback's leading wide receiver in the third quarter was Stephon Gilmore. The problem with that is Gilmore plays for the Patriots.

Gilmore tallied two interceptions in the third quarter. The All-Pro cornerback made an impressive one-handed grab on his first interception, and he returned the second one for a touchdown to put New England up 27-10.

The Bengals didn't have a running back, wide receiver or tight end with more than one reception at the time of Gilmore's second interception, and that prompted quite a reaction on Twitter.

Gilmore's case for NFL Defensive Player of the Year grows stronger with each passing week.
