If anyone can keep his head up amid continued adversity, it's Isaiah Wynn.
The New England Patriots placed Wynn on injured reserve Tuesday with a foot injury that will sideline him at least eight weeks. It's a tough break for the Patriots' starting left tackle, who also missed his entire rookie year due to a torn Achilles.
But there was Wynn on Wednesday sending out positive vibes on Twitter:
Life is always allowed to throw curve balls at you. The best thing you can do is change your swing to adapt to the way the ball is being thrown. Sooner or later, you’re going to hit that ball. #LFG #WinWithWynnWednesday— Isaiah Wynn (@iwynn77) September 18, 2019
That #WinWithWynnWednesday hashtag is a weekly tradition for the 22-year-old, who posts motivational, uplifting messages on Twitter every Wednesday morning.
Yooo, hope everybody’s #WinWithWynnWednesday got off to a good start. If nobody told you today, you’ve been doing great! Keep it up!— Isaiah Wynn (@iwynn77) August 28, 2019
Good morning Twitter fam ☀️. Here’s a simple key to having a good day; Positive Affirmation.— Isaiah Wynn (@iwynn77) August 21, 2019
It doesn’t get much easier than that! Make the most out of your day and have a great #WinWithWynnWednesday!
It’s another glorious #WinWithWynnWednesday! As you go about your day/week, remember life will always have its highs and lows. When life’s all good, bottle that feeling up. When life gets rough, recall the joyous times and find a solution to better your situation. Keep going ❤️— Isaiah Wynn (@iwynn77) August 7, 2019
But Wynn's latest tweet obviously is much more personal, as the Patriots' 2018 first-round draft pick must begin rehab for the second time in two NFL seasons.
Here's wishing Wynn a speedy recovery. In the meantime, New England's banged-up offensive line will need to turn to new faces like tackle Korey Cunningham -- who assumed Wynn's position at left tackle last Sunday against the Miami Dolphins after Wynn went down -- as well as Marshall Newhouse, Caleb Benenoch and Jermaine Eluemunor.
