Watch: McDaniels reunites with brother, ex-Pats co-worker in Houston

Another week, another opportunity for the New England Patriots to see some old friends (and in one case, family).

After losing to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Sunday in Tom Brady's highly-anticipated return to Gillette Stadium, the Patriots are in Houston this Sunday to take on the 1-3 Texans.

The Texans are run by two former New England staffers in executive vice president of football operations Jack Easterby and general manager Nick Caserio, who spent six and 20 years with the Patriots, respectively.

Houston's assistant wide receivers coach, Ben McDaniels, also is the brother of Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. So, McDaniels had plenty of catching up to do before Sunday's game at NRG Stadium.

Both Caserio and Easterby made the rounds to chat with several Patriots staffers, while another New England alum, Texans senior advisor for football performance Romeo Crennel, chatted with Patriots owner Robert Kraft and head coach Bill Belichick.

Those were just the reunions on the coaching staff. The Texans employ several ex-Patriots players as well, including wide receivers Brandin Cooks and Danny Amendola and running back Rex Burkhead.

Amendola and Burkhead both were inactive Sunday, but Amendola was on the field before the game to see some of his former teammates.

While there was plenty of love between former coworkers before kickoff, the teams will be enemies after kickoff, as both clubs try to avoid dropping to 1-4.
