Julian Edelman hangs with Odell Beckham, Saquon Barkley at Met Gala

The NFL's biggest stars have had quite the busy social schedule over the last 48 hours.

Saturday's 2019 Kentucky Derby drew a flock of NFL headliners to Churchill Downs. On Monday, that much of that flock moved to New York, where New England Patriots teammates Tom Brady and Julian Edelman were among the stars at the 2019 Met Gala.

It's no surprise Edelman and Brady were joined at the hip, but the former also spent some time with Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley and Formula One driver Lewis Hamilton.

Edelman also grabbed a picture of him and Brady with Beckham and Brady for his Instagram story.

The Patriots will play both the Browns and the Giants in 2019, so hopefully Edelman didn't share any state secrets.

NFL odds Week 12: Opening spread for Patriots vs. Cowboys game revealed

NFL odds Week 12: Opening spread for Patriots vs. Cowboys game revealed

The New England Patriots are favored over the Dallas Cowboys by almost a touchdown in the opening betting lines for Week 12 of the 2019 NFL season.

The early spreads for every Week 12 game were released by the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas on Sunday evening, and the Patriots are 6.5-point favorites at home versus Dallas.

Here are all the lines for next week's matchups:

The Patriots have made sports bettors a lot of money this season. The defending Super Bowl champions are 7-3 against the spread (9-1 head-to-head) after Sunday's 17-10 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on the road. The Pats have a 1-game lead over the Baltimore Ravens in the race for the AFC's No. 1 seed.

The Cowboys are coming off a 35-27 Week 11 win over the Detroit Lions that moved them ahead of the Eagles for first place in the NFC East division.

New England has won five of its last six meetings with Dallas, including a 4-2 against-the-spread record over that span.

Kickoff for Sunday's game between the Patriots and Cowboys is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET at Gillette Stadium.

Kyle Van Noy finds more Patriots bulletin board material after beating Eagles

Kyle Van Noy finds more Patriots bulletin board material after beating Eagles

Kyle Van Noy keeps all of his receipts.

The Patriots defense got back on track Sunday in Philadelphia, limiting the Eagles to 10 points to help New England escape with a 17-10 win and improve to 9-1.

Van Noy contributed to that effort with five tackles, a sack, a tackle-for-loss and two quarterback hits. After the game, he continued his time-honored tradition of singling out his team's haters.

So, who is "good ole Tony"? Our guess is Tony Massarotti, considering Van Noy's history of calling out 98.5 The Sports Hub's "Felger & Mazz" radio show. Massarotti also has referenced the fact that this Patriots defense doesn't have traditional "stars" like other units, which makes their incredible success through 10 games all that more impressive.

It's also possible Van Noy is referencing CBS color analyst Tony Romo, who mentioned on Sunday's broadcast that New England's defense doesn't have many household names. You could argue that's a compliment: The Patriots defense is great because the entire unit is talented and works very well together.

You also can't argue with the results: New England is allowing just 10.8 points per game this season and still has a chance to break the 2000 Baltimore Ravens' record for fewest points allowed in a season (165).

But if the haters help Van Noy and his teammates play this well, he'd tell you to keep the digs (real or perceived) coming.
