Football fans and video game enthusiasts rejoiced Tuesday morning when EA Sports announced it was releasing a college football game later this year.
EA Sports, which also makes the immensely popular "Madden NFL" video game series, has not released a college football game since 2014 due to licensing and other issues.

We don't have many details on the upcoming game, but people are very excited about the reveal.
Twitter has been firing away with custom cover designs for the 2021 version of the game, and New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman joined in on the fun with his own.

There will be plenty of debate over which player(s) should grace the cover of the upcoming game. It's definitely a nice change from wondering if EA Sports' college football franchise would ever come back at all.
