Julian Edelman shows Celtics support with Instagram post

Julian Edelman shows Celtics support with Instagram post

The city of Boston has had great luck in winning championships over the course of the past two decades and recently, the city saw two teams, the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox, win their respective championships just months apart from one another.

And now, one of the key performers on the Patriots' Super Bowl team is wishing the Boston Celtics good luck ahead of the start of their playoff run. Julian Edelman, last season's Super Bowl MVP, posted on Instagram to send a message to the Celtics before they play the Indiana Pacers on Sunday.

It's always nice to see another professional athlete support local teams. It's clear that Edelman is a true fan of the other New England sports teams, too. He has also been to plenty of Celtics games since coming to New England, and he shared a moment with Kyrie Irving before the team took on the Lakers in L.A.

This isn't the first time that Edelman has posted about a Boston sports team this month. After the Red Sox home opener, Edelman threw out one of the first pitches and jokingly offered to help out their bullpen.

The Celtics start their playoff series with the Pacers on Sunday. They are at home for the first two games before hitting the road to travel to Indiana.

Patrons of Robert Kraft-linked spa file lawsuit to block video release

Patrons of Robert Kraft-linked spa file lawsuit to block video release

It appears Florida prosecutors have another legal battle on their hands relating to the recent prostitution scandal.

A group of men and women have filed a federal class action lawsuit claiming they were illegally videotaped receiving lawful messages at the Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter, Fla., where New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft is accused of soliciting prostitution.

The lawsuit was filed on behalf of 31 unidentified John and Jane Does, none of whom were charged with a crime. The defendants claim that Palm Beach County State Attorney Dave Aronberg and the Jupiter Police Department unlawfully obtained warrants to install video cameras at the Orchids of Asia spa then invaded their privacy by filming their spa visits in late January.

"It is horrific when you think about the scenario," said Joseph Tacopina, the attorney who filed the suit, via the Associated Press. "It is akin to going to a bathroom. You are in a state of undress and you are being surreptitiously recorded and that recording is now subject to disclosure and being disseminated around the internet.

"It is an abomination of any form of privacy rights and constitutional rights."

In addition to seeking unspecified punitive and monetary damages, the suit wants the video evidence blocked from public release and eventually destroyed.

Kraft's lawyers have the same desire to keep the videos under wraps. Aronberg's office said last week it was obligated to make the videos public, but a judge ordered to block their release until at least a hearing after Kraft's legal team accused the state attorney's office of prosecutorial misconduct.

The Best at 32: Top NFL Draft picks taken with 32nd selection

The Patriots will have a long wait on Thursday night before they are on the clock for their first pick of the 2019 NFL Draft.

It's a position they've found themselves in before. This will be the fourth time in the last 15 years that they've owned the 32nd overall pick. (It would have been the fifth time, but DeflateGate cost them a first-round pick in 2017.)

Will Bill Belichick be able to find some top-tier talent? Tom E. Curran looked at past drafts, and found that some teams have managed to strike gold with pick number 32, though it's far from a sure bet.

Check out Tom's list of the Top 15 players taken at No. 32 overall.>>>>
