Julian Edelman usually loves being joined at Tom Brady's hip, but apparently the New England Patriots wide receiver wants a little more space.
Edelman posted a photo to Instagram on Monday of he and Brady back on the workout grind, with a fitting caption to match their exercise tool of choice.
"After 10 years you’d think I would have a longer leash in the off season @tombrady," Edelman wrote.
Brady's reply in the comment section: "Nope!"
Leashes are a staple of Brady's workout regimen; if you watched "Tom vs Time," you've probably seen clips of his trainer, Alex Guerrero, holding a long rubber band as Brady does agility work. It appears the 41-year-old has "roped" Edelman into those workouts, too.
Judging by the logo on the field, it appears Brady and Edelman are back at Boston College after the latter returned from his Kent State graduation over the weekend.

But even a college degree can't seem to earn Edelman any separation from his QB.
