When the Patriots listed their inactives prior to Sunday night's game against the Steelers, one name stood out: Kyle Van Noy.

New England's leading tackler in 2018, Van Noy hadn't appeared on the injury report all week, so his presence on the inactive list was eye-opening... until reports surfaced that his wife Marissa was in labor, and that the team knew he might have to miss the game.

But even though Van Noy wasn't on the field, he was keeping tabs on the game and cheering his teammates on, providing a steady stream of commentary during the Pats' 33-3 drubbing of the Steelers.

And while the Patriots win had to feel good, Van Noy returned to Twitter Monday morning with even better news:

Congratulations to both Kyle and Marissa, and hopefully he'll be back on the field next week in Miami, considering how horribly the defense played without him on Sunday night. (Insert sarcasm font here.)
