Matt Cassel learned plenty while playing alongside Tom Brady, one of the more important lessons being never to roughhouse with the Patriots quarterback.
The former Pats backup QB told a hilarious story on the latest Patriots Talk Podcast with Tom E. Curran about a time he got yelled at by a few Pats veterans for wrestling Brady.
"No, I wouldn't spar with him," Cassel said when discussing Brady taking up boxing one offseason. "I'd get in trouble, probably released if I ever hurt the guy.
"I was wrestling with him one time on the field and I got ahold of him and got on top of him," Cassel said. "Rodney Harrison just started laying into me. He said 'don't do that ever again.' The next thing I know, all these vets are coming up to me -- [Richard] Seymour and Harrison -- and they're yelling at me like I was at fault."
Hey, can you really blame them for protecting their prized QB?
Cassel and Curran also discuss how Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels will get the most out of their wide receivers, whether the Patriots should inquire about disgruntled Raiders WR Antonio Brown, and much more.
