Melvin Gordon wants James White to pass message on to Bill Belichick

James White isn't one of the New England Patriots' outspoken players. He typically lets his play do the talking.

As for his former Wisconsin Badgers teammate and current Los Angeles Chargers running back Melvin Gordon, he does a little bit of both.

White posted a photo to Instagram on Wednesday with a caption that may or may not allude to his current contract situation. The 27-year-old is set to make $4 million with the Patriots in 2020, then he'll become an unrestricted free agent after the season.

"Don’t keep count, just keep gettin it," White wrote.

Gordon commented on White's post with a message to pass on to Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.

“Tell bill get that bread right,” Gordon wrote.

Maybe Gordon simply wants to see his ex-teammate get paid. Or, maybe he's looking to get the Patriots to open the checkbook for him when he hits free agency along with White in 2020.

The latter is probably a reach. But it wouldn't be the offseason if we didn't speculate about every little detail.
