NFL free agency live: Latest rumors, news from legal free agent tampering period

NFL free agency is almost here, but before contracts and trades can become official when the new league years begins Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET, the legal tampering period for free agents starts at noon Monday.

As a result, the rumor mill will be in overdrive as many of the top players on the market are able to agree to contracts with teams ahead of Wednesday's date. 

The New England Patriots are a key team to watch with so many important players eligible to be unrestricted free agents. Defensive end Trey Flowers, left tackle Trent Brown, wide receivers Chris Hogan and Phillip Dorsett, and kicker Stephen Gostkowski are among the most notable New England players hitting free agency.

9:26 p.m.: Linebacker Anthony Barr is heading to the Big Apple
