Tom Brady will be in an unfamiliar role Sunday afternoon -- a home underdog.
The Buccaneers quarterback had his NFL record 74 consecutive regular season starts as a betting favorite snapped in Week 1 when Tampa Bay was road underdogs versus the New Orleans Saints.
Brady and the Bucs will again be an underdog in Week 6, this time at home when they host the Green Bay Packers at Raymond James Stadium. It will be Brady's first game as a home underdog since 2014 when the New England Patriots beat Peyton Manning's Denver Broncos 43-21.

This likely will be a difficult game for the Buccaneers. The Packers are one of five unbeaten NFL teams and starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers is playing at an MVP level. He's thrown for 1,324 yards with 13 touchdowns and zero interceptions through four games.

“(Rodgers is) playing at a really high level," Bucs head coach Bruce Arians said Tuesday. "One thing (is) you have to get after him – that’s for sure. You can’t play scared. Knowing that the ball is going up, back-shoulder throws, he’s the best there is. You’ve got to cover your guys (and) you’ve got to do a great job. I think more so (it is) the improvisational plays when he gets out of there. That’s really when he’s at his best.”

Rodgers and Brady have played against each other only twice. The first came in 2014 when Rodgers beat Brady and the Patriots 26-21 at Lambeau Field in Week 13. Brady got the better of Rodgers in 2018 when the Patriots beat the Packers 31-17 at Gillette Stadium in Week 9.
Given the fact that Brady is 43 years old and in the latter stages of his career, it's possible Sunday's matchup could be the last meeting between these two future Hall of Fame quarterbacks.
