The draft dust has settled. First and second-tier free agency is over. While there are still going to be roster tweaks and adjustments before the offseason truly ends, it’s 90 percent done in terms of player acquisition. Maybe more.

So how did everyone do? Let’s roll through what appear to be the key losses and additions and slap some grades on. We know there’s no way to know. Maybe some team picked up a former seventh-round pick left tackle in a trade and will go on to win the Super Bowl with him and see him become the highest paid lineman in NFL history.

Or some UDFA in on a tryout will cap the Super Bowl with a pick on the goal line. That stuff does happen. And we can’t account for it.

Nonetheless … to the GRADES! Teams are listed in the order of our predraft NFL Power Rankings.

The defending Super Bowl champions didn’t do much at all in free agency.

They franchised Chris Jones and lost CB Kendall Fuller and EDGE Emmanuel Ogbah. In the draft, they added Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who’s going to be a weapon for them out of the backfield. They also added a three-down linebacker in the second round in Willie Gay Jr. and spent a third-rounder on versatile Lucas Niang.

They brought in Calais Campbell and Derek Wolfe — two experienced players for their defensive line. They franchised Matthew Judon and then added linebacker Patrick Queen, RB J.K. Dobbins and two very productive receivers — Devin Duvernay and James Proche to help fill out Lamar Jackson’s receiving corps.

More talent in — at positions of need — than went out.

The Niners said goodbye to DT DeForest Buckner and wideout Emmanuel Sanders, kept DE Arik Armstead and then had a solid draft which included some impressive deals.

Most prominent? Adding Pro Bowl left tackle Trent Williams. They got South Carolina DT Javon Kinlaw at 14 and versatile Arizona State receiver Brandon Aiyuk at 25. Those three adds are a nice haul for a team that only drafted five players.

GRADE: A-minus

After adding Emmanuel Sanders and Malcolm Jenkins in free agency, they may have hit big later in the draft with Wisconsin linebacker Zack Baun and Dayton TE Adam Trautman, both of whom slipped well past where they were expected to be drafted.

The Packers lost OT Bryan Bulaga, LB Blake Martinez, CB Tramon Williams, WR Geronimo Allison and tight end Jimmy Graham with their major additions being Devin Funchess and Christian Kirksey. That’s running a deficit.

In the draft, they spent their first pick on a quarterback, Jordan Love, then came back in the second round and took BC running back A.J. Dillon. They didn’t get a wideout in a receiver-deep class. And filled out the final day of the draft with six picks.

They have done very little to get appreciably better in the short-term and Aaron Rodgers has to be stewng.

They added the best quarterback in NFL history and the best tight end of this century in free agency, then got a much-needed right tackle with the 13th pick (Tristan Wirfs) and defensive back Antoine Winfield, a DB with versatility from Minnesota.

They didn’t add a change-up back of note but that’s a minor detail the Bucs can deal with now that Tom Brady is in house.

Seattle did a nice job defensively in free agency, bringing back Bruce Irvin and bringing aboard Greg Olsen. They nearly had a very good secondary pickup with former Washington corner Quinton Dunbar but he went on an alleged crime spree and that may complicate his season.

Their offensive line in front of Russell Wilson was… not good. Their first pick was Texas Tech linebacker Jordyn Brooks at No. 27 and they went up to get EDGE player Darrell Taylor from Tennessee in the second round before adding a lineman, Damien Lewis in the third.

GRADE: C-minus

Down on the Titans for their unimaginative and tentative decision to go in with Ryan Tannehill. Paying him more than Brady. LOL.

They had some veteran turnover — CB Logan Ryan, RB Dion Lewis, DE Cameron Wake, K Ryan Succop, OT Jack Conklin, DT Jurrell Casey and TE Delanie Walker, who was always a pro. The selection of OT Isaiah Wilson in the first round was a necessary move and they got a potentially solid corner in Kristian Fulton in Round 2.

They also had what most experts feel was a solid Day 3 of the draft. Still, I think they are primed for slippage in 2020.

The Bills swung a deal for Stefon Diggs, adding to an already impressive group of receivers for quarterback Josh Allen to overthrow. That was their big free agent move.

They had no first-round pick because of that deal but added defensive end A.J. Epenesa in the second then skill guys Zack Moss (RB, Utah) and Gabriel Davis (WR, UCF) in rounds three and four. They then took Jake Fromm in the fifth round and I guaran-damn-tee you it won’t be long before people in Buffalo want to see the steady Fromm get some reps.

The Eagles had to take a receiver in the draft and they did — Jalen Raegor from TCU.

But they then took Jalen Hurts in Round 2 who — while a nice player — is either going to be a complement or insurance to starter Carson Wentz whom the Eagles are in deep with. But the rest of their busy draft got good grades and the addition of corner Darius Slay is a boon for them as well.

A quietly competent job done in free agency with OG Stefen Wisniewski and TE Eric Ebron.

OLB Alex Highsmith is a very nice 3-4 fit and WR Chase Claypool went a little earlier than expected but the Steelers almost always get great return out of their homegrown wideouts. They also hit offensive line with fourth-rounder Kevin Dotson.

GRADE: B

They had 12 picks going into the draft. That’s a lot. They ended up taking 15 guys. That’s insane.

They got outstanding LSU wideout Justin Jefferson to take the sting out of losing Stefon Diggs, then took corner Jeff Gladney at 31. The took an OT (Ezra Cleveland from Boise) followed by another corner (Cam Dantzler) and just kept sprinkling players in over the final rounds.

It’s inevitable that they added at least four players of consequence.

GRADE: A-plus

Byron Jones, Robert Quinn, Jason Witten and Travis Frederick all went out the door in free agency. They still haven’t gotten Dak Prescott done.

But they did have a very nice draft with CeeDee Lamb at 17 overall followed by corner Trevon Diggs out of Alabama at 51 overall and DT Neville Gallimore from Oklahoma at No. 82. With Gerald McCoy, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix and Aldon Smith added as well, if Dallas hits on these guys, look out.

Great job adding DT DeForest Buckner, but what in the name of all that is holy is anyone thinking about betting on Philip Rivers for a year? His decision-making in 2019 should have made him worth half of the $25M the Colts will pay him. Instead, they wanted Rivers instead of Tom Brady.

Good luck. With that.

Xavier Rhodes is a Pro Bowl corner added. Indy got a good wideout at 34 in Michael Pittman and stayed on the offensive side of the ball at 41 with running back Jonathan Taylor. With Pittman this year and Parris Campbell in 2019 plus T.Y. Hilton, if Indy doesn’t put up points, it’s not for lack of speed and talent.

Shipping out DeAndre Hopkins … enough has already been said. They brought in Brandin Cooks and Randall Cobb at the position as well as running back David Johnson in the Hopkins trade.

They only had five selections — Ross Blacklock from TCU and Jonathan Greenard from Florida are front-seven additions. I’ll be interested to see how seventh-round wideout Isaiah Coulter from URI performs for the Texans.

Overall offseason, though? Bizarre.

They have to take their medicine with $23.5M in dead cap money thanks to Tom Brady, Stephen Gostkowski, Michael Bennett and Antonio Brown. They franchised Joe Thuney to keep him away from competitors and still haven’t gotten an agreement with him to clear up more dough. They drafted a kicker in the fifth round nobody else would have likely drafted. They saw two of their best defensive players in 2019 go out the door — Jamie Collins and Kyle Van Noy — and also lost Phillip Dorsett, Duron Harmon, Danny Shelton, Ted Karras and Nate Ebner.

Coming in, they have some Joes who will no doubt help — DL Beau Allen, DB Adrian Phillips and FB Dan Vitale to name three — and their first five draft picks are worth being enthused about, but you don’t lose the best quarterback of all-time and be forced into trading the best tight end of his generation both in large part because you didn’t want them and they didn’t want you and expect to get a pass.

The question isn’t whether it’s been awful. The question is whether it’s just a setup for improvement.

They raided the Rams for Dante Fowler and Todd Gurley, picked up tight end Hayden Hurst and still have a Top 10 quarterback in Matt Ryan.

They then shored up the meat-and-potatoes spots with corner A.J. Terrell, DT Marlon Davidson and interior offensive lineman Matt Hennessy in the draft.

GRADE: B

In free agency, they added all over their defense with Kyle Van Noy, Shaq Lawson, Byron Jones and a few other Patriots not nailed down. They brought Jordan Howard aboard and will see if they can revive his career.

They had three first-round picks, two seconds and a third. That was six picks in the first 70. I get why a team would take Tua Tagovailoa at No. 5, but I don’t think he’s ultimately going to be able to play to that level. They drafted for need at 18 and 30 with OT Austin Jackson and corner Noah Igbinoghene then went OL, DT, S, OG, DE, EDGE with their next picks.

This offseason either set them up to be a perennial playoff team or will be hard to overcome.

The Cardinals got a kickass linebacker at No. 8 (Isaiah Simmons), a highly-regarded tackle in the third round and then two accomplished defensive linemen in the fourth. Plus they added DeAndre Hopkins along with Jordan Phillips, Devon Kennard and De’Vindre Campbell?

They are going to be a threat. And they had an outstanding offseason for Kliff Kingsbury.

They got a first-year head coach so, as far as I’m concerned, they are pretty much screwed. Cleveland added Austin Hooper at tight end and right tackle Jack Conklin in free agency, then came back with offensive tackle Jedrick Wills and safety Grant Delpit.

Their biggest problem last year wasn’t talent. It’s that they were a stupid, sloppy team with an overmatched head coach. So give them points for moving on from Freddie Kitchens.

GRADE: C-plus

The Rams had no first but still grabbed some talent in the draft with Van Jefferson (WR, Florida) and running back Cam Akers (Florida State). They grabbed nine players overall in the draft.

Jefferson will be a nice complement to Cooper Kupp and spent picks on the back of their defense with Terrell Lewis, Terrell Lewis and Jordan Fuller. After offloading Brandin Cooks and Todd Gurley and losing a number of other notables, the Rams are poised to show that trying to outsmart the cap just doesn’t work.

Even before the draft, Vegas (love saying that) made some moves of note bringing in Cory Littleton and Nick Kwiatkowski at linebacker, safety Jeff Heath and EDGE Carl Nassib. We’ll see if Marcus Mariota, Jason Witten or Nelson Agholor ever do anything but they were imported as well.

In the draft, they took the fastest guy they could, wideout Henry Ruggs, then grabbed two more wideouts and a first-round corner in Damon Arnette from OSU. Good overall haul for the offseason.

GRADE: A-minus

The Jets made a necessary run at shoring up their offensive line in free agency and kept at it during the first round of the draft with Louisville tackle Mekhi Becton who’s as big as The Matterhorn. They also got a good wideout for Sam Darnold in Denzel Mims (I also thought they got a good wideout a few years back in Stephen Hill. WRONG!). The world loves Cal safety Ashtyn Davis and they added a possible backup to Darnold with Florida International’s James Morgan.

Chicago took tight end Cole Kmet 43rd overall and corner Jaylon Johnson 50th, then didn’t pick again until the fifth round. Their big offseason move was admitting their Mitch Trubisky mistake.

Nick Foles was brought in and will probably beat out Trubisky. They also brought in Robert Quinn to help with the pass rush but lost WR Taylor Gabriel and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix in free agency.

GRADE: D-plus

They moved on from Melvin Gordon, Philip Rivers and are – at this point – counting on the very professional but quite average Tyrod Taylor to be their starter unless he’s beaten out by Justin Herbert who went sixth overall to the Bolts.

The Chargers also got Chris Harris, Linval Joseph, Brian Bulaga and Trai Turner in free agency plus added talented Oklahoma linebacker Kenneth Murray and two later-round wideouts – Joe Reed and K.J. Hill. They did a nice job.

Denver had five picks in the top 100 (15, 46, 77, 83, 95) of the draft and used a couple of them to help second-year quarterback Drew Lock immensely. They got Jerry Jeudy at 15 and K.J. Hamler at 46.

Both wideouts are highly-regarded. They also used a fourth-rounder on tight end Albert Okwuegbynam and drafter LSU center Lloyd Cushenberry in the third round. In free agency, they added Jurrell Casey and Melvin Gordon while losing Chris Harris.

GRADE: B-plus.

A woeful pass defense was shored up with corner Jeff Okudah from Ohio State with the third overall pick. The Lions then took running back D’Andre Swift at 35 followed by Notre Dame defensive end Julian Okwara at 67 and Ohio State guard Jonah Jackson at 75.

After going 1-12 in their final 13 games, Bob Quinn and Matt Patricia went after all available Patriots that Miami didn’t get – Danny Shelton, Jamie Collins and Duron Harmon (Harmon via trade). On paper, a positive offseason to a team that needs to turn things around fast.

Joe Burrow alone makes this a winning offseason for Cincy. They also grabbed Clemson wideout Tee Higgins at the top of the second round followed by linebackers Logan Wilson and Akeem Davis-Gaither in the third and fourth. Corner Trae Waynes was a free agent gamble but defensive tackle D.J. Reader should be a valuable pickup.

The Panthers had a really solid draft with DL Derrick Brown at No. 7, EDGE Yetur Gross-Matos at 38 and safety Jeremy Chinn at 64. Three very promising defensive adds for first-year coach Matt Rhule.

The Luke Kuechly retirement is a big deal but in my mind, Teddy Bridgewater is the smartest quarterback move any team made outside of Tampa. It’s going to be an uphill climb for Rhule in his first year but at least they got some talent.

GRADE: B-plus

Kyle Allen was brought in and now there’s a little quarterback drama with Dwayne Haskins which will be interesting. The Skins ended the Trent Williams drama and got Chase Young with the second overall pick to be a force on their defensive line.

They also added a very good OT in Saahdiq Charles from LSU and an interesting pair of skill position players in Antonio Gibson, a running back from Memphis, and wideout Antonio Gandy-Golden from Liberty. Solid overall effort for a bad team.

GRADE: A-minus

The Jags had three picks in the top 50 and went with Florida CB C.J. Henderson (No. 9), LSU EDGE K’Lavon Chaisson (20) and Colorado wideout Laviska Shenault (42). Overall they brought in 11 players and there’s a lot of backslapping going on about what a solid job they did. They really needed to. Their fortunes are in the hands of quarterback Gardner Minshew, the last of the swashbucklers.

GRADE: C-minus

The Giants added corner James Bradberry and linebacker Blake Martinez in free agency and franchised Leonard Williams. They kept at it defensively with safety Xavier McKinney from Alabama at 36 and UCLA corner Darnay Holmes at 110.

At the top of the draft they took Georgia OT Andrew Thomas (4) and then added UConn OT Matt Peart at 99. So you can see what they’re aiming for. Better on defense. Capable of running the ball and protecting Daniel Jones. For new coach Joe Judge, there’s a lot of work to get after.
