NFL picks Week 1: Latest odds, predictions against the spread for all games

NFL picks Week 1: Latest odds, predictions against the spread for all games

The 2019 NFL season is finally here, and the action begins Thursday night with the Chicago Bears hosting the Green Bay Packers for another chapter in the league's most historic rivalry.

The return of pro football means it's Christmas in September for sports bettors. Football is the most popular sport in the betting world, and everyone has a clean slate entering Week 1.

There was a ton of player movement in the offseason, with multiple superstars changing teams and shifting the balance of power in both conferences as a result. This makes it difficult to accurately handicap teams going into the new season, but that also means there's value to be found because some of these spreads could be way off in hindsight.

Without further ado, let's take a look at the latest NFL odds (via the Westgate SuperBook) and make picks against the spread for every Week 1 matchup. Each pick is italicized.

Twitter had jokes after Tom Brady ripped his pants during 'The Match'

Tom Brady's Sunday afternoon of golfing with Peyton Manning, Tiger Woods, and Phil Mickelson was eventful, to say the least.

The ex-New England Patriots quarterback began "The Match" by struggling through the first six holes. Then, he finally got back on track with an amazing shot that briefly quieted the naysayers.

Unfortunately for Brady, the shot may have been overshadowed by him simultaneously splitting his pants. Just look at the photo below:

Whoops!

As you can imagine, Twitter had some fun with Brady's mishap:

It's OK, Tom. It happens to the best of us.

Tom Brady has a thing for comebacks.

The former New England Patriots quarterback was struggling mightily through the first few holes of "The Match" on Sunday. Then, he totally redeemed himself.

Just watch this shot below and enjoy:

"Shut your mouth, Chuck," Brady said to Charles Barkley, who had been chirping him throughout the match.

We should have known a comeback was around the corner. Didn't 28-3 teach us anything?

Just as Twitter had a field day with Brady's early struggles, it enjoyed watching Brady sink that improbable shot:

Bravo, Tom. Bravo.
