This is a fun edition of QB power rankings because it could be the last time some of these guys are on their respective teams, as there are reports of a potential Deshaun Watson trade.
Tua's still a Dolphin for now and -- spoiler -- he ain't high on this list.
1. Tom Brady, Buccaneers

Last week’s ranking: 1
Week 6 stats: 34-of-42, 297 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT
Season stats: 2,064 yards, 17 TD, 3 INT, 1 rush TD
No one’s budging Brady from the top spot yet. He’s top five in most important QB statistics.
New England Patriots
2. Matthew Stafford, Rams
Last week’s ranking: 7
Week 6 stats: 22-of-28, 251 yards, 4 TD, 1 INT
Season stats: 1,838 yards, 16 TD, 4 INT
Stafford had a dominant performance after a couple of relative down weeks. He leads the league in Total QBR.
3. Kyler Murray, Cardinals
Last week’s ranking: 6
Week 6 stats: 20-of-30, 229 yards, 4 TD, 0 INT
Season stats: 1,741 yards, 14 TD, 4 INT, 116 rush yards, 3 rush TD
Perry: These five Patriots need to start stepping up ASAP
Murray and the Cardinals are on fire. He hasn’t thrown a pick in three weeks and Arizona remains the only undefeated team in the league.
4. Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs
Last week’s ranking: 2
Week 6 stats: 32-of-47, 397 yards, 2 TD, 2 INT, 31 rush yards
Season stats: 1,887 yards, 18 TD, 8 INT, 184 yards, 1 rush TD
At what point do we say the interceptions for Mahomes are out of control? He’s on pace for 21.
5. Dak Prescott, Cowboys
Last week’s ranking: 5
Week 6 stats: 36-of-51, 445 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT
Season stats: 1,813 yards 16 TD, 4 INT
Prescott absolutely carved up the Patriots. His dominance has been perhaps the biggest surprise of the NFL season.
6. Josh Allen, Bills
Last week’s ranking: 4
Week 6 stats: 35-of-47, 353 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT, 26 rush yards
Season stats: 1,723 yards, 15 TD, 3 INT, 214 rush yards, 2 rush TD
Allen would probably be higher this week if he hadn’t slipped on fourth down. Not his finest moment, but still a strong performance in a loss.
7. Aaron Rodgers, Packers
Last week’s ranking: 9
Week 6 stats: 17-of-23, 195 yards 2 TD, 0 INT, 19 rush yards, 1 rush TD
Season stats: 1,436 yards, 12 TD, 3 INT, 2 rush TD
Rodgers has been consistently really good since struggling in Week 1; he just hasn’t had many of his classic monster number performances. He’s thrown for three touchdowns just once this season, and that was against the Lions. That said, the Packers have won five straight.
8. Justin Herbert, Chargers
Last week’s ranking: 3
Week 6 stats: 22-of-39, 195 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
Season stats: 1,771 yards, 14 TD, 4 INT, 1 rush TD
The Ravens finally slowed down Herbert, who had totaled 12 touchdowns in his previous three games. The second-year QB hits the bye on a down note.
9. Kirk Cousins, Vikings
Last week’s ranking: 12
Week 6 stats: 33-of-48, 373 yards, 3 TD, 0 INT
Season stats: 1,769 yards, 13 TD, 2 INT
There isn’t nearly enough buzz about Cousins’ season, which could end up being the best of his career. Is it just that everyone’s made up their minds about what he is, or are the Vikings just not very interesting right now?
10. Lamar Jackson, Ravens
Last week’s ranking: 8
Week 6 stats: 19-of-27, 167 yards, 1 TD, 2 INT, 51 rush yards
Season stats: 1,686 yards, 9 TD, 5 INT, 392 rush yards, 2 rush TD
Jackson didn’t do much in Week 6, which begs the question ... how the hell did they beat the Chargers by 28 points?
11. Jalen Hurts, Eagles
Last week’s ranking: 11
Week 6 stats: 12-of-26, 115 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 44 rush yards, 2 rush TD
Season stats: 1,480 yards, 8 TD, 4 INT, 300 rush yards, 5 rush TD
Hurts isn’t the problem in Philadelphia. He’s only had one game this season without multiple touchdowns.
12. Derek Carr, Raiders
Last week’s ranking: 13
Week 6 stats: 18-of-27, 341 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT
Season stats: 1,946 yards, 10 TD, 4 INT
Carr had a nice bounce-back performance against the Broncos after struggling vs. the Bears. He’s actually on pace for a very similar season to last year.
13. Jameis Winston, Saints
Last week’s ranking: 10
Week 6 stats: BYE
Season stats: 892 yards, 12 TD, 3 INT, 86 rush yards, 1 rush TD
The Saints should be really happy with Winston so far. He’s limited the risks and still turned in strong performances.
14. Matt Ryan, Falcons
Last week’s ranking: 14
Week 6 stats: BYE
Season stats: 1,332 yards, 10 TD, 3 INT
The Falcons were off in Week 6, but they last faced the Jets and saw Kyle Pitts come to life. They should like where they are after a bad start.
15. Carson Wentz, Colts
Last week’s ranking: 16
Week 6 stats: 11-of-20, 223 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT
Season stats: 1,545 yards, 9 TD, 1 INT, 74
This is not good for the Colts. They’re losing, but Wentz has been pretty good. That means they’ve got to keep playing him, which could very well lead to their first-round pick -- currently ninth overall -- going to Philadelphia.
16. Joe Burrow, Bengals
Last week’s ranking: 18
Week 6 stats: 19-of-29, 271 yards, 3 TD, 1 INT, 20 rush yards
Season stats: 1,540 yards, 14 TD, 7 INT
Burrow has thrown for multiple touchdowns in every game this season. He’s got to limit the turnovers, but the Bengals have a good one.
17. Sam Darnold, Panthers
Last week’s ranking: 15
Week 6 stats: 17-of-41, 207 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 48 rush yards
Season stats: 1,573 yards, 7 TD, 7 INT, 110 rush yards, 5 rush TD
Darnold might be coming back to earth after a strong start. He’s combined for just two touchdowns the last two weeks after totaling 10 over his first four games with the Panthers.
18. Teddy Bridgewater, Broncos
Last week’s ranking: 17
Week 6 stats: 35-of-49, 334 yards, 3 TD, 3 INT
Season stats: 1,514 yards, 10 TD, 4 INT
Bridgewater had more of a 2019 Jameis Winston stat line than a Teddy Bridgewater stat line against the Raiders. The Broncos have lost three straight.
18. Ben Roethlisberger, Steelers
Last week’s ranking: 20
Week 6 stats: 29-of-40, 229 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT
Season stats: 1,515 yards, 7 TD, 4 INT
Roethlisberger’s easing up on the interceptions of late, but he’s lost fumbles in each of his last two games.
20. Jared Goff, Lions
Last week’s ranking: 19
Week 6 stats: 28-of-42, 202 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT
Season stats: 1,505 yards, 7 TD, 4 INT
Goff has gone two straight games without a passing touchdown. Not awesome.
21. Ryan Tannehill, Titans
Last week’s ranking: 21
Week 6 stats: 18-of-29, 216 yards, 0 TD, 1 INT
Season stats: 1,467 yards, 6 TD, 4 INT, 133 rush yards 2 rush TD
Tannehill has gone from one of the best QBs in the league to pretty underwhelming. He’s only thrown for multiple touchdowns in one game this season.
23. Taylor Heinicke, Football Team
Last week’s ranking: 22
Week 6 stats: 24-of-39, 182 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT
Season stats: 1,390 yards, 9 TD, 6 INT, 127 rush yards, 1 rush TD
Heinicke’s kind of been a disaster the last couple of weeks. The Football Team is reportedly interested in Tua Tagovailoa, who might not even be an upgrade.
23. Mac Jones, Patriots
Last week’s ranking: 27
Week 6 stats: 15-of-21, 229 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT
Season stats: 1,472 yards, 7 TD, 6 INT
The Patriots’ passing attack stinks. The 75-yarder to Kendrick Bourne following the pick-6 was a great play, but that one play provided nearly 30 percent of the Patriots’ passing yards.
24. Tua Tagovailoa, Dolphins
Last week’s ranking: N/A (Whoever Starts for the Dolphins)
Week 6 stats: 33-of-47 329 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT, 22 rush yards
Season stats: 544 yards, 3 TD, 2 INT, 23 rush yards, 1 rush TD
It sounds like Tagovailoa’s days could be numbered in Miami, which makes sense if -- and it’s a big “if” -- Deshaun Watson would be able to get on the field at some point. Watson’s legal troubles are obviously the primary obstacle, but strictly in terms of quarterback play, it would be night and day going from the underwhelming second-year player to one of the best QBs in the league.
25. Trevor Lawrence, Jaguars
Last week’s ranking: 31
Week 6 stats: 25-of-41, 319 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT
Season stats: 1,465 yards, 7 TD, 8 INT, 121 rush yards, 2 rush TD
Lawrence got his first NFL win in an encouraging performance. Given his and the Jaguars’ start to the season, they’ll take the progress.
26. Justin Fields, Bears
Last week’s ranking: 24
Week 6 stats: 16-of-27, 174 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, 43 rush yards
Season stats: 632 yards, 2 TD, 3 INT, 102 rush yards, 1 rush TD
Fields has improved from week to week. He’s yet to have a particularly impressive game, but it’s not like the other rookie QBs are leaving him in their dust.
27. Whoever Starts for 49ers
Last week’s ranking: 30
Week 6 stats: BYE
The 49ers come off the bye expecting Jimmy Garoppolo will be ready to go. Trey Lance, not so much. The low ranking isn’t because Garoppolo’s bad, but because we haven’t seen him play in weeks.
28. Daniel Jones, Giants
Last week’s ranking: N/A
Week 6 stats: 29-of-51, 242 yards, 0 TD, 3 INT
Season stats: 1,524 yards, 4 TD, 4 INT, 201 rush yards, 2 rush TD
Jones turned the ball over four times against the Rams. Yikes.
29. Geno Smith, Seahawks
Last week’s ranking: 29
Week 6 stats: 23-of-32, 209 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT
Season stats: 340 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT
Smith was perfectly mediocre Sunday until he fumbled on a strip-sack in overtime. Russell Wilson he is not.
30. Davis Mills, Texans
Last week’s ranking: 25
Week 6 stats: 29-of-43, 243 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT
Season stats: 912 yards, 5 TD, 7 INT
Not a great look for the Patriots that Mills threw no touchdowns and four picks the week before playing them, torched them for three touchdowns, then threw no touchdowns and two picks the next week.
31. Case Keenum, Browns
Last week’s ranking: N/A
With Baker Mayfield dealing with a shoulder injury, Keenum will start for the Browns. He’s thrown only 13 passes over the last two seasons.
32. Zach Wilson, Jets
Last week’s ranking: 32
Week 6 stats: BYE
Season stats: 1,117 yards, 4 TD, 9 INT
Wilson had the bye week to make sure his second meeting with the Patriots doesn’t go as poorly as the first (0 TD, 4 INT).
