Daniel played at the University of Georgia in 2019 and 2020. He signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars over the summer but did not make their final 53-man roster before Week 1.
Smith is listed at 6-foot-2 and 227 pounds. He was most recently a member of the Seattle Seahawks practice squad. He played four years at the University of Louisville from 2015 through 2018.
Neither Daniel nor Smith have appeared in a regular season NFL game.
The Patriots play the Miami Dolphins on the road Sunday afternoon. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. ET.
