NFL trade rumors: Odell Beckham Jr. has told coaches 'come get me'

Get ready for another wild NFL offseason of trade rumors surrounding elite wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

The Cleveland Browns star has been telling opposing coaches and players to “come get me,” per FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer. Watch Glazer’s report from Sunday’s pregame show in the tweet below:

The Patriots reportedly were interested in trading for Beckham before the New York Giants dealt him to Cleveland in March.

New England has battled through a lack of both depth and top-tier talent at wide receiver this season. The Patriots also have lacked a deep threat at the position in 2019. Therefore, making another run at Beckham would be a smart move for the Patriots. Beckham has been very complimentary of the Patriots over the last few years, and he even gave quarterback Tom Brady GOAT cleats after New England’s Week 8 win over Cleveland.

The Browns have performed well below expectations this season. Instead of fighting for a playoff spot or even winning the AFC North division, Cleveland enters Week 14 with a disappointing 5-7 record and likely another cold winter without postseason football.

Beckham’s stats haven’t been great in his first season with the Browns, but a lot of that is on the coaching staff and quarterback Baker Mayfield. Beckham has not been featured enough in the passing attack. The 27-year-old wide receiver has tallied 57 receptions for 805 yards and two touchdowns through 12 games.

Beckham is signed through the 2023 season with a salary cap hit of about $15 million.
