NFL Twitter destroys Falcons after latest fourth quarter meltdown

The Atlanta Falcons are finding new and historic ways to lose NFL games despite having double-digit leads in the fourth quarter.

The Falcons went into the final quarter of Sunday afternoon's Week 3 matchup against the Chicago Bears with a 26-10 lead. The Bears were a mess and made a switch at quarterback, replacing Mitchell Trubisky with Nick Foles.

And then it all unraveled for the Falcons. They were outscored 20-0 in the fourth quarter and lost 30-26, dropping their record to 0-3. This horrific defeat comes after last week's blown lead against the Dallas Cowboys when Atlanta coughed up a 39-24 advantage with 7:57 remaining in the fourth quarter and lost 40-39. A badly executed onside kick recovery was the final nail in the coffin for the Falcons in their defeat to the Cowboys.

Sunday's loss was even worse, though.
