NFL Twitter was very impressed with Cam Newton’s stellar Patriots debut

Cam Newton's debut with the New England Patriots was a good one.

Not only did the Patriots emerge with a 21-11 win over the Miami Dolphins at Gillette Stadium on Sunday afternoon, Newton played a pivotal role in the outcome.

The veteran quarterback completed 15 of 19 pass attempts for 155 yards with zero interceptions, but his real impact came on the ground. Newton ran for 75 yards with two touchdown on 15 carries. His 75 rushing yards are the most by a Patriots quarterback in a single game since Steve Grogan had 81 against the Buffalo Bills in 1977.

Three takeaways from the Patriots' win over the Dolphins

Newton looked healthy and motivated in Week 1 of the 2020 NFL season, and that's a bad sign for the rest of the league.
