Patrick Mahomes' girlfriend says she was harassed by fans during Patriots-Chiefs

Patrick Mahomes' girlfriend says she was harassed by fans during Patriots-Chiefs

New England Patriots fans apparently weren't very hospitable to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes' girlfriend Brittany Matthews and brother Jackson Mahomes on Sunday.

Matthews live-tweeted her experience at Gillette Stadium during the Patriots-Chiefs matchup, and other than the game's outcome, it doesn't seem like it was all that pleasant.

Matthews claims Patriots fans yelled at her and Jackson to sit down and Gillette security even stepped in to move them to a safer location.

Super Bowl 54 Opening Night live stream: Watch Chiefs-49ers media day online

The San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs will square off in Super Bowl LIV on Sunday night in Miami, but before stepping on the field, they will meet the media Monday at Super Bowl Opening Night.

The event, which used to be called "Media Day", has produced many memorable moments, including some of the most bizarre questions imaginable and a wedding proposal involving New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

The Patriots aren't in the Super Bowl after making three consecutive appearances, but they might still be the subject of several Opening Night storylines.

49ers starting quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo won two Super Bowl titles as Brady's backup, and he's now aiming for his first championship triumph as a starter. His head coach, Kyle Shanahan, was the offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Falcons when they blew a 28-3 lead and lost Super Bowl LI to the Patriots in 2016. Shanahan has not been afraid to talk about that heartbreaking loss to the Patriots, and he likely will be asked about it again Monday night.

The Chiefs bounced back from an AFC Championship Game loss to the Patriots last season and now look like the next dominant team in the conference.

Here's how to watch Super Bowl LIV Opening Night on your computer or preferred mobile device.

Joe Montana reveals his advice for Tom Brady ahead of free agency

Chargers reportedly 'move on' from Philip Rivers, sparking Tom Brady speculation

Chargers reportedly 'move on' from Philip Rivers, sparking Tom Brady speculation

The Los Angeles Chargers will be in the market for a quarterback this offseason, it appears.

The Chargers have "moved on" from quarterback Philip Rivers ahead of his pending free agency, FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reported Monday on "The Herd" with Colin Cowherd.

Rivers told ESPN last week he had "permanently" moved from San Diego to Florida to be closer to his family, a sign that his 16-year career with the Chargers may be coming to an end.

That means Rivers will enter the free-agent market ... along with New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who will be free-agent eligible on March 18 for the first time in his NFL career.

Los Angeles has been speculated as a possible destination for Brady, who often trains in Southern California during the offseason, has family, friends and business partners in the area and is interested in expanding his TB12 Sports brand.

The Chargers also are set to move into the brand-new SoFi Stadium this fall and could create serious buzz around the franchise by signing Brady -- a six-time Super Bowl champion whose jersey still is among the most popular in the NFL after 20 years -- to take over for Rivers with Tyrod Taylor staying on as a backup.

Brady has played his free-agent cards close to the vest this winter, but the Chargers just became a legitimate option for the 42-year-old QB following Rivers' departure.
