Patriots add ex-Broncos Bennie Fowler

Patriots add ex-Broncos Bennie Fowler

At the beginning of the day, the Patriots seemed painfully thin at wide receiver, especially after apparently just saying no -- again -- to Dez Bryant.

Now, it appears their cup is running over.

First, reports surfaced that they would bring in former Browns first-rounder Corey Coleman. And now, here comes another wideout (though one not nearly with as much promise) . . .

Fowler signed as an undrafted free agent with the Broncos in 2015 and spent three seasons in Denver, with 56 catches for 698 yards and five touchdowns. He signed as a free agent with the Bears last spring, but was cut by Chicago.

New England Patriots wide receiver N'Keal Harry is on the board.

The rookie wideout tallied his first career reception from Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in the second quarter of Sunday's Week 11 game against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. Harry ran a slant route and made an 11-yard catch.

Check out his first catch in the highlight video below:

Harry was the Patriots' first-round pick (32nd overall) in the 2019 NFL Draft. The Arizona State product missed the first 10 games of the 2019 season due to injury, and he was added to the 53-man roster before New England's Week 9 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

Harry is the second wide receiver to make his Patriots debut in recent weeks. Veteran wideout Mohamed Sanu made his first appearance with the Patriots in Week 8 after being acquired from the Atlanta Falcons a week before last month's trade deadline.

Rob Gronkowski posts old video hinting at possible return to Patriots

Rob Gronkowski posts old video hinting at possible return to Patriots

Rob Gronkowski continues to add to the speculation about a possible return to the New England Patriots.

On Sunday, Gronk took to Twitter to tease a "big announcement" coming Tuesday at 9 a.m. Later on in the day, the retired tight end posted a video to Facebook that is sure to get Patriots fans' hopes up.

In the video, originally posted by Tom Brady in 2016, the Patriots quarterback blows into a conch shell and adds a caption that reads, "New England Patriots RECEIVERS… ASSEMBLE!!!"

Gronk reposted it and asked, "Tom Brady, do you think this thing still works?!! 🐚"

Check it out below:

Gronkowski has always kept the door open for a possible return to football, but Pats fans shouldn't get too excited. Last month, Gronk seemed to shut down the idea of that comeback happening this season.

We'll just have to wait and see what the announcement will be on Tuesday. Gronk's deadline to come out of retirement and play again this season is Saturday, Nov. 30.
